We understand that a medical emergency in your Immediate Family can require travel on short notice. Delta’s Medical Emergency Policy provides added flexibility to support you during this difficult time.

Please note, Medical Emergency Fares cannot be purchased on delta.com.

The following restrictions apply:

• Tickets under the Medical Emergency Fare Policy are subject to availability at the time of booking
• Delta’s Medical Emergency Fare Policy provides flexibility to the return portion of your trip by waiving service fees; however, fare differences may still apply
• Lower promotional fares may be available on delta.com or through Delta Reservations and may serve as a better option in some markets and circumstances

This program is valid for SkyMiles® Members needing to travel due to the medical emergency of an Immediate Family member. If you are not a SkyMiles Member you may enroll now.

Below are the circumstances and under which the Medical Emergency Fare Policy may be available to you, as well as required information when booking your ticket.

 

入院／医療ケア
 

The ill Immediate Family member is hospitalized or under registered hospice care. ホスピスプログラムにご登録の上、ご自宅で療養されている場合は、その証明をご提出ください。The visiting passenger must travel to and from location of hospital, hospice or hospice home. 例外: On a case-by-case basis, Delta may allow travel to a city near the hospital or hospice location so customers can meet family members and drive to the hospital.

必要な情報： The name and relationship of the ill family member in the hospital, hospice or at home under hospice care, name of hospital/hospice/ at home hospice care and phone number.

戦地での負傷
 

A war injured Immediate Family member.

必要な情報： 軍用病院に入院中のご家族の方のお名前と続柄、およびその病院名と電話番号。

臓器提供者
 

近親者ではない臓器提供者が、臓器移植のためにその実施場所に移動する場合。

必要な情報： 臓器移植者のお名前と、臓器移植を行った病院名および電話番号。

 

“Immediate Family” includes:

• Spouse or domestic partner
• Parent, stepparent or parent-in-law
• Child, stepchild or son/daughter-in-law
• Sibling, stepsibling or sibling-in-law
• Grandparent or grandchild
• Aunt, uncle, niece or nephew

Children will be ticketed at the same fare as an adult under the Bereavement Fare Policy or applicable child's fare, whichever is lower. 

Infants or children under 2 years of age can travel on the lap of an adult for free within the U.S., or at a reduced fare for international travel (maximum of 2 infants per adult for all travel).
